Our Beach School and Forest School sessions offer fun, interesting, exploratory opportunities to connect with wildlife, our natural landscape and ourselves.
Activities include; making fires / fire safety, cooking, litter-picking, creative work using natural resources, animal tracking, sand art, imaginative play and games, learn about tides, coastal hazards and eco-systems.
These magical moments are designed to holistically develop participants whilst playing in our local surroundings. Little ones (and us adults!) are encouraged to understand and bond with the environment, building up a caring relationship with the wildlife that surrounds them, whilst creating great memories to take home, share and cherish.
Sessions are designed to encourage instinctive curiosity in a fresh new learning environment for all involved by using an adaptive and flexible approach to consider the needs of the participants as individuals and as a whole group. Ultimately, to help all reach their full potential.
We aim to develop the physical, social, cognitive, linguistic, emotional, social and spiritual aspects of the learner. By working closely with the elements, we promote resilience, confidence, independent learners whilst fostering a nurturing environment for all participants to feel included and supported.
Outdoor learning can provide inspiring ways to learn about curriculum subjects such as geography, history, science and mathematics.
